At Kafi Folk, we believe in centering our focus on telling the story behind each piece we create. Focusing on the craft chosen to make a certain collection and the stories of the people who made them. We believe that the world doesn't need another fashion brand. Clothing is a necessity and we all love to look our best and feel beautiful in our own skin but we believe this is only a tiny part of the story of clothing.

We believe the world needs organizations that educate others to be conscious of their choices, to provide information that educates the consumer and support communities that are taking steps to care for the world in the bigger picture. We want to assist in preserving crafts that have been apart of traditions old, to celebrate the beauty of using our hands to create what we wear and appreciate going back to basics.

Establishing Partnerships

Each partnership is born from the heart and organically nurtured through many discussions and personal meetings. For each collection we design, we spend time researching to find the right team that can help bring our vision to life with their craft. Once we find that team, we then start to build our relationship by learning about whats important to them when creating, what part of their tradition is important to keep when presenting their craft and how we can come together to co-create something beautiful. We value our partner relationships greatly and strive to ensure that during each process, our collaboration is an expression of joy together and not one of stress for either party. This way, the results will always be beautiful as true beauty can only be formed from a pure heart.

Our Production Process

Here at Kafi Folk we want to encourage you to always be conscious when purchasing rather than impulse purchasing. We plan all production timelines according to each artisans capacity and schedule and only take on a certain quantity of orders per shipping date - this ensures we are always producing mindfully. Both our 'made to order' pieces and our 'ready to wear' are a work of art that are the result of a focus on mindfulness and quality. The majority of our pieces are made to order as this allows our brand to grow in a healthy pace. Sometimes we will have ready to wear capsule collections depending on the artisan teams requirements of a minimum order ensuring them a stable work flow they can commit to. Every detail is carefully thought out and although it may be a slower process, this way we can ensure we establish long term stability and build a community with like-minded values.
